Mitchell Drainage & Waste Services Ltd has a Vactor unit specially designed to meet the demands of the fast clearance of pipes, culverts and sewers from 100mm upwards. This unit is designed to clean the largest, deepest and most inaccessible of heavily silted drains. It operates at speeds of up to six times that of conventional power jets, and the high flow rates and variable low pressures mean there is no risk to the structural integrity of the drainage system. Simultaneous high-pressure jetting and back-flushed effluent collection allow waste recovery from 30 metres vertically. We vacuum dry or semi-dry waste from up to 100 meters horizontally.
A VACTOR TANK WITH POWER
The machine has a unique operating feature, which allows faster effluent collection with fewer dumping trips. An airlift centrifugal pump loads waste matter through a 200mm pipe into a 9m3 capacity tipping debris tank. When the debris tank is full, the operator simply drains off surplus liquid and continues cleaning. This operation can be carried out several times before the need to dump any solid waste.
